My wife and I are in our 70’s and, as with most 70+ people not very tech savvy. For Mothers Day I bought my wife a I-X (from an I-6). We tried transferring over the data and paring up her hearing aids (70 yrs old) but had no luck. We spent two hours at the local Apple Store in Tukwila, Washington talking to and being assisted by three different individuals. Unfortunately neither of them were able to perform the task. That took over two hours.
Today we went back to the store and directly to the “genius” desk. We were assigned toa man Michael who not only knew what the issue was but managed to get everything transferred and hearings aids connected and “paired”.
For some one like my wife who needs the hearings aids this is a blessing and a very welcome event.
So kudos to “Michael” at your Tukwila store. A real “genius” desk help. In our discussion, while the data transferred, he explained how some of the “old” (I-6) phones worked and how it needed to be handled with the newer phones. Not only was he a great help for us but if Michael could be given some time in staff meetings to explain this situation with the newer staff who do not have Michael’s years of experience with old and new phones, the entire store would benefit with more happier customers.
